Province-Wide Guideline for Police Dealing with Landlord and Tenant Disputes

ACTO worked with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Investigation and Enforcement Unit, the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, CommunityLegal Aid Clinics including the Landlord’s Self-Help Centre, the Ontario Police College, the Ontario Provincial Police, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and various municipal police services to establish a province-wide guideline for police. The wallet-sized card, brochure and guidelines give front-line officers the tools they need to effectively deal with landlord and tenant disputes.
